While living peacefully with their partners as Chosen Children, Taichi Yagami and Yamato Ishida continue to work towards maintaining that peace with their friends. Although they share this common goal, each is taking individual steps towards their future beyond being a Chosen Child. However, this new journey is disrupted by Menoa Bellucci, an American professor who specializes in studying Digimon. She brings news of several comatose Chosen Children worldwide, whose partner Digimon have vanished without a trace. Menoa's research reveals that a new type of Digimon called Eosmon is responsible for this concerning development. To tackle this challenge successfully, the team must unite once more despite the growing distance that separates them.
