The conflict between the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance has been ongoing for over a century and half. In the Empire, a young man named Siegfried Kircheis befriends Reinhard von Müsel and his older sister Annerose. They have a happy friendship until their alcoholic father, who is of low standing in society, agrees to sell Annerose as a concubine to the Kaiser. Despite being enraged, Reinhard is unable to stop this from happening. He and his father leave, leaving Kircheis behind. A few years later, Reinhard returns in a military uniform with the intention of rising through the ranks and rescuing his sister from her sexual servitude. Churchills joins him on this perilous journey to save Annerose, longing to remain by their friends' side forever.
