In the late 19th century within the British Empire, there resided an orphaned girl named Wisteria who led a monotonous existence. However, her life took a turn when she encountered Marbas, a potent yet solitary immortal creature with a soft furry exterior, pursued relentlessly by hunters. The duo embarked on a journey across the Empire, which encompassed both humans and humanoid creatures, in search of a sanctuary where they could coexist harmoniously.
