Rudger is a character from amanda shuffleups imagination, who has been her imaginary friend since she was young. unlike other people, only amanda can see him. however, when mr. bunting arrives at amandas doorstep, he becomes visible to everyone else as well. it turns out that mr. bunting hunts imaginaries and is known to eat them. now that he has found rudger, the imaginary boy must run for his life before being caught by mr. bunting or fading away into nothingness. since rudger is an unreal entity, it may be challenging for him to survive in the real world on his own. to find amanda and escape from mr. bunting's grasp, rudger will need all of his wit and cunning.
