The Panther Claw is an enigmatic group that has made their presence felt in Tokyo by causing fear and giving law enforcement a hard time. Their actions have been further complicated by the emergence of a lone cosplay vigilante who manages to thwart all of their evil plans before vanishing without a trace. This mysterious figure is known as Honey Kisaragi, the product of Professor Kisaragis groundbreaking experiment. With her ability to transform into Cutie Honey, a scantily-clad warrior of love and justice, she uses her powers of disguise and outfits to fight against injustice. By pressing a heart-shaped button on her choker, she can instantly change her appearance and become the heroine that Tokyo needs.
Re: Cutie Honey features several references to other popular media, including Kill Bill, Lupin III, and Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon.The series was released on DVD in Japan as a collection on September 21, 2005, including a CD drama starring the four voice actresses of Honey Kisaragi up to that point.
