R.D. is an employee of Mach Storm who earns money by delivering items for them. He has a strong interest in finding the legendary Alpha Zoid, which he learned about from his father. This company also competes in battles involving Zoids. In R.D.'s first battle at Coliseum, he encountered a team that could fuse their Zoids together. To his surprise, he discovered that Liger Zero, one of his own Zoids, was capable of merging with another Zoid. This marked the beginning of R.D.'s quest to uncover the truth about Alpha Zoid.
