Lina and Gourry journeyed to Acassi, a coastal village renowned for its octopus delicacy. However, consuming octopus meat came with a curse that afflicted the consumer with the ability to only communicate using Takogo, the language of octopuses. The group was joined by Amelia, Zelgadiss, and Xelloss, resulting in all four main characters being cursed. In response, the octopi enlisted the aid of a mazoku to eradicate the humans once and for all. To break the curse, Ruma, the white sorceress, must seek out her long-lost master and learn the cure.
