The initial film in the Boku no Hero Academia series follows the conclusion of the climactic finals at U.A., as the school prepares for its summer training camp. Deku and All Might receive an invitation from someone special to visit I-Island, an enormous artificial moving city that serves as a hub for scientists from around the world to showcase their research on Quirk and hero items during an exhibition called I-Expo. While there, Deku encounters Melissa, a Quirkless girl who reminds him of his own past without powers. Suddenly, I-Island's impenetrable security system is breached by villains, leading to the kidnapping of all its inhabitants. With All Might, the number one hero and Symbol of Peace, at the helm, a plan that could drastically alter hero society is set into motion.
