In a small village, there are born two siblings, a boy named Tatara and a girl named Sarasa. The prophet Nagi proclaims that Tatara is destined to liberate Japan from the oppressive rule of the King and his four sons. However, when the cruel Red King murders Tatara, it falls upon Sarasa to assume her brother's name and undertake a perilous journey to free Japan and exact vengeance on the Red King.
