In the future, on the planet Amoi, which is governed by the supercomputer Jupiter, there exists a predominantly male human population. The elite class, characterized by their light hair, are permitted to temporarily keep the "mongrels," or those with dark hair, as pets. Iason, an elite member, discovers Riki, a mongrel, in the slums and decides to take him home. Despite social norms, Iason keeps Riki for a longer period than what is acceptable.
