In the fictional city of Stern Bild, individuals with special abilities are referred to as "NEXT." These individuals possess powers that can be used for good or evil purposes. A group of NEXT regularly appears on Hero TV, where they work together to catch criminals and bring attention to their sponsors while earning Hero Points in the hopes of becoming known as the next "King of Heroes." Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, also known as "Wild Tiger," is a seasoned hero whose performance has been declining recently due to his difficulty working with other heroes. After an unsuccessful season where most of his fellow heroes outperformed him, he is paired up with Barnaby Brooks Jr., who introduces himself by his real name. Despite their differences in personality and approach to crime-fighting, Tiger and Bunny must learn to work together to face the challenges that lie ahead in Stern Bild.
