Aside from running the boarding house, she also attends the local high school where her classmates are facing a crisis due to the demolition of their beloved clubhouse to make way for a new building. To prevent this from happening, they have banded together and Umi finds herself helping them spread information about the cause. While doing so, she befriends Shun Kazama, whom she eventually falls in love with. However, Shun is an orphan who doesn't know much about his past. When he and Umi start searching for clues to his origins, they discover that they share a lot more in common than either of them could have imagined.
