Kōhei Shōji, Shunsuke Kazama star in Mamita's story premiering on July 4
On Wednesday, TV Tokyo declared that they are creating a live-action television show based on the popular manga "10 Things I Want to Do Before I Turn 40" by Mamita. This boys-love manga will be adapted into a television series and will air on multiple channels including TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido, and TVQ at 12:14 a.m. on July 4th. Additionally, viewers in Japan will be able to stream the show on Lemino, U-NEXT, TV Tokyo HP, and TVer services.
In the image above, Kōhei Shōji, who is known as Kamen Rider Gavv in Mashin Sentai Kiramager, portrays Keishi Tanaka in another series. Meanwhile, Shunsuke Kazama, who has played characters in Yu-Gi-Oh! and From Up On Poppy Hill, takes on the role of Suzume Tōjō in this production.
In the live-action adaptation of Senpai to Kanojo in Kowloon Generic Romance, Chihiro Ikeda serves as director alongside Noriaki Kosuge. Yō Saitō is responsible for writing the scripts for this series. Erina Koyama is in charge of composing the music for this production.
The company has acquired the rights for the manga and will launch its initial volume on May sixth. They describe it as follows.
Suzume Tōjō is just three months away from turning forty and realizes there's so much he hasn't done with his life! So, he makes a plan: create a private list of things he's always wanted to do and check them off before turning the big four-oh. It's a rather simple list, filled with goals that should be easy to accomplish, like a takoyaki party, enjoying a parfait out in a cafe, and spending his birthday with a lover. Except, that last one comes with a major problem--Tōjō hasn't had a lover in ten years! But when Keishi Tanaka, Tōjō's handsome junior at the company, discovers the secret list, he's determined to help Tōjō check off every single item--starting with the "lover" part!
