The world is being swept away by Action Duels, a new form of dueling that allows participants to soar alongside their Duel Monsters due to a breakthrough in the "Solid Vision" system. This evolution has enabled Duel Monsters to gain mass. Yuuya Sakaki, son of You Show Duel School founder Yuusho Sakakis, is determined to become an Entertainment Duelist like his father despite his disappointment over his fathers sudden disappearance during a duel with Strong Ishijima. Years later, in the midst of a battle with Strong Ishijima, Yuuyas desperation leads him to summon Pendulum Cards, a method unknown to the world and himself, gaining him instant fame. Reiji Akaba, CEO of Leo Corporation and founder of the elite Leo Duel School, recognizes the potential of Pendulum Summoning and begins producing new cards to incorporate it into the system. As Yuuya continues his journey towards becoming an Entertainment Duelist, he uncovers more about the mysteries surrounding Pendulum Summoning and his fathers legacy.
