At a literature club meeting, all members including their faculty advisers niece gain superpowers. jurai andou, who is a resident chuunibyou, is thrilled about his new ability to create black flames but it's just for show and not useful. he gets outclassed by others like tomoyo kanzaki who manipulates time, hatoko kushikawa who controls the five elements, sayumi takanashi who repairs both inanimate objects and living things, and their advisers niece chifuyu himeki who creates objects from thin air. despite the mystery of why they received these powers, life for these superpowered students remains mostly normal with their everyday activities now infused with the supernatural.
