Tomoya Aki, an avid anime and light novel collector, has been passionate about these forms of entertainment for many years. He now wishes to share this enthusiasm with others by creating his own game, but recognizes that he cannot do so alone. To accomplish this task, he enlists the help of childhood friend Eriri Spencer Sawamura to illustrate and literary elitist Utaha Kasumigaoka to write the script for his visual novel. With these talented individuals on board, Tomoya directs the project. However, he still needs inspiration to base his game on. Fortunately, he meets Megumi Katou, who becomes the model for his main character. Using his knowledge and skills, Tomoya creates a new doujin circle with the goal of touching the hearts of those who play their game. What he may not realize is that in order to evoke strong emotions in players, the creators must have experienced these feelings themselves.
