The anime series "Nijiiro Days" portrays the diverse lives and romantic entanglements of four high school boys: Natsuki Hashiba, a passionate dreamer with unrealistic notions about love; Tomoya Matsunaga, an arrogant playboy who maintains multiple relationships; Keiichi Katakura, a masochistic individual who is always accompanied by a whip; and Tsuyoshi Naoe, an otaku who has a girlfriend who enjoys cosplaying. On Christmas Eve, Natsuki's girlfriend abruptly ends their relationship without warning, causing him to break down in tears on the street. While walking home, he encounters Anna Kobayakawa, a girl dressed as Santa Claus, who offers him tissues. Instantly captivated by her, Natsuki pursues Anna, only for his friends to interfere and complicate matters, as they strive to achieve their own romantic goals.
The voice cast for the drama CD, that was released in 2014 alongside the seventh volume of the manga, have also taken on the roles of the main characters in the anime adaptation.
