For 10 years away from home, Azuma Kazuki was unaware of what awaited him upon his return. He did not anticipate being attacked by numerous heavily armed individuals and being held captive as a prisoner. Fortunately for him, his stay in captivity was brief. With the help of his childhood friend Kogane Asabuki, who wields a sentient weapon called "Bubuki," Azuma is rescued. After escaping, he discovers that he too possesses the ability to control Bubuki. Along with his new companions, they must awaken the Buranki titan named Oubu, which lies deep underground. With this knowledge and purpose, a path to uncover the truths behind the Buranki opens before Azuma.
