Although the vibrant colors of life surround us daily, Hitomi Tsukishiro's monochrome existence lacks emotion and sensation. On a dark and white night, Kohaku, Hitomis grandmother, casts a spell using the moonlight she has been collecting for 60 years to transport her granddaughter back in time to 2018, when Kohaku was still in high school. The purpose of this journey is unclear, but Kohaku promises that Hitomi will understand once they arrive. After traveling through time on a train driven by an unusual yellow creature, Hitomi enters the room of artist Yuito Aoi and is overwhelmed by the vivid colors in his artwork. What is Hitomis role there, and why do Aois drawings bring such stunning color to her dull world?
