The members of PoppinParty are now in their second year of high school, but they face various challenges such as student council duties, cram school, part-time jobs, and being separated into different classes. Their free time together is limited due to these responsibilities. Looking back, the joyful times spent together seem like a distant memory when members are too busy to gather in Arisa Ichigayas basement for practice sessions. As PoppinParty reflects on their situation, an unknown girl suddenly appears and pulls them into the spotlight once more.
In this new era of girl bands, Afterglow, Pastel*Palettes, Roselia, and Hello, Happy World! are gaining popularity. Each band features musicians with unique personalities that captivate audiences with their performances. With PoppinParty's return to the music scene and encounters with new friends, the heart-pounding, sparkling music resumes once again.
BanG Dream! 2nd Season is a part of the "BanG Dream!" multimedia franchise, which was developed by Bushiroad in January 2015.The franchise also released a mobile rhythm game, titled BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! for iOS and Android, which was developed by CraftEgg and published by Bushiroad. The Japanese version was released in March 2017, and the English version in April 2018. As of July 30, 2018, the game has surpassed 10 million downloads worldwide.
