Xian is the ultimate goal for all cultivators, which refers to achieving immortality. However, there's an underlying dark energy known as the Forbidden Mo Dao or demonic path. Unfortunately, due to some unfortunate events, Wei Wuxian experiments with this path during his teachings, resulting in chaos and destruction. His reign of terror ends when he is killed by his closest ally after being overpowered by the cultivation clans. Thirteen years later, Wei Wuxian reincarnates as a lunatic and reunites with Lan Wangji, marking the beginning of a supernatural mystery that threatens to disrupt their daily lives. The story follows these two men on their journey to uncover the mysteries of the spiritual world, where they encounter demons, ghosts, and even other cultivators. Despite their initial differences, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji form an unexpected bond as they work together to solve this mystery.
