For centuries, humans have been at odds with a species known as Beastmen, who possess the ability to transform into different animal forms due to their genetic "Beast Factor." This conflict has forced Beastmen into hiding. Anima City serves as a sanctuary for these oppressed individuals where they can live without human interference. During a festival celebrating its 10th anniversary, Michiru Kagemori, a human who suddenly transformed into a tanuki, discovers that Anima City is not the utopia she thought it was. After witnessing an explosion in the square, she encounters Shirou Ogami, a seemingly indestructible wolf and protector of all Beastmen. As they chase after the perpetrators, Michiru learns that she possesses unique abilities and is not like any ordinary Beastman. Could she be the missing link between humans and Beastmen?
