Ririchiyo shirakiin is an adolescent girl from a prominent family who has been sheltered and dependent throughout her life due to her petite build and affluent status. despite her desire for independence, she struggles with poor communication skills and a sharp tongue that she can't control. to improve her social abilities, ririchiyo moves into maison de ayakashi, an exclusive high-security apartment complex where residents are half-human, half-youkai. however, her troubles don't end there: as part of the agreement to reside in the building, she must be accompanied by a secret service agent, soushi miketsukami. despite his good looks and quiet demeanor, soushi is overly clingy and submissive, adding another layer of complexity to ririchiyo's already challenging situation. with high school on the horizon, she faces an arduous journey ahead.

Inu x Boku SS was licensed by Sentai Filmworks for North America, while MVM Films licensed it for the United Kingdom. During April 2013, Hanabee Entertainment released the series on DVD and Blu-ray for Australia and New Zealand.
