The daughter of the Shirakiin family, named Shirakiin Ririchiyo, feels a need for independence and protection from her parents' home. To achieve this, she plans to live on her own in the mansion called "Ayakashi Kan," which only allows those who have passed a rigorous examination to reside there. Each resident is accompanied by an agent of the Secret Service (S.S.). Although Ririchiyo initially rejects the S.S.'s company, she later discovers that her protector in the mansion is actually the Fox Spirit, whom she had previously saved.

Inu x Boku SS was published in English by Yen Press from October 29, 2013 to May 24, 2016. It was also licensed in Spanish by Editorial Ivrea.
