Zetsuen no Tempest

16-year-old Yoshino Takigawa secretly dates his best friend's younger sister, but when his girlfriend Aika suddenly dies, Mahiro disappears and swears revenge against her killer. Despite this, Yoshino continues with his daily routine without hearing from Mahiro for a month until he is confronted by an unknown girl who holds him at gunpoint. His best friend arrives just in time to save him.
Yoshino learns that Mahiro has enlisted the help of Hakaze Kusaribe, a witch, to find Aika's killer and discover the existence of the "Tree of Exodus." However, her brother is selfishly using its power, putting the world at risk. Despite being banished to an island, Hakaze needs Yoshino and Mahiro's help to save the world while they get closer to uncovering the truth behind Aika's death.
Zetsuen no Tempest draws heavily on two Shakespeare plays, Hamlet and The Tempest. The series was simulcast on Crunchyroll.
