This double feature is composed of Gunbuster and Die Buster (also known as Gunbuster 2), combined into one theatrical release that is divided into two parts, separated by a musical intermission. The first part, titled "Gunbuster the Movie," shortens the six episodes of the original OVA into an 95-minute film featuring a new 5.1 audio remix and redubbing from the original Japanese cast. Meanwhile, the second part, called "Die Buster the Movie," blends large portions of the second OVA series with some altered or newly animated scenes to present a condensed version of Nonos story.
