Mashiro, a 14-year-old boy, lacks direction in life and feels uncertain about his future. one day, takagi discovers that he possesses exceptional drawing skills and encourages him to collaborate on creating a manga. initially hesitant, mashiro eventually agrees when takagi assists him in connecting with azuki miho, his crush. together, they contribute to shonen jump under the pseudonym ashirogi muto. although highly skilled in drawing, mashiro remains dissatisfied with his style and specializes in depicting dark characters. his preferred manga is ashita no joe.
