A 12 year old boy who loves to travel and explore new places. Although he's half Japanese and half Chinese, he has a mischievous streak that often gets him into trouble. His journey began when he met Mei Li and Mao while wandering through the forest. Despite his initial promise to become a Super Chef, he struggled to achieve this goal during his two-year travels. When he returned home, he pretended to be one in order to impress others. However, it wasn't long before he was exposed as a fraud when a cooking official questioned the authenticity of his badge. Feeling inspired by Mao's status as a Super Chef, Shirou decided to become his apprentice and travel with him. Although he may not be an expert in cooking, he has a good understanding of it and is somewhat above average. However, he often teases Mei Li and tries to grab her breasts, which usually results in him getting hit by her. Eventually, Shirou's mischievous behavior caught up with him, but he was able to turn things around when he became a chef-in-training at Yang Spring Restaurant.
