Rick  

Leo, a character from Fullmetal Alchemist, carries a locket of his mother with him despite its broken condition and failure to open. He was briefly captured by mercenaries in Central but was rescued by Scar, Alphonse, and Edward during an attempt to save Rick's life. The force applied to the locket caused it to open, revealing a picture of Rick, Leo, and their mother as well as several small pills for treating blindness. In the anime series, Edward is granted permission from the military to release Rick and Leo from captivity and transfer them to Resembool, but both characters decline the offer. Meanwhile, in the manga version of the story, Rick and an unnamed fair-skinned boy with blonde hair assist Scar after his first encounter with Homunculi in East City. They tend to his wounds until mercenaries try to arrest him, prompting Scar to flee the slum. It is implied that this manga version of the character may be half-Ishvalan due to his reassurance to an injured Scar that he was safe because "Mom and I are Ishvalan too!" Rick's name is not mentioned in the manga.
