The trio, consisting of Kagome Higurashis present day school friends, appear to be quite inquisitive regarding her personal life. They frequently encourage Kagome to pursue Hojo, a popular schoolboy who admires her. Initially, they discourage Kagome from pursuing InuYasha due to his seemingly bizarre descriptions of him. However, as time progresses, the girls become intrigued by InuYashas exotic appearance and officially approve of him in episode 160 titled "The Lucky But Two-Timing Scoundrel!". Eri, with her shoulder length black hair, is particularly concerned about Kagomes relationship health. She frequently discusses potential boyfriends such as Inuyasha and Hojo and isn't hesitant to share her opinions on them. Some fans have noted that Eri taps her foot or fingernails when she is wary of someone, usually Kagome.
