Haido purchased the Book of Gelel from a foreign merchant with the intention of discovering the location of the Gelel vein, which would grant him the power to rule over the world. With his knights Fugai, Kamira, and Ranke, he traveled to where the vein was located. Unfortunately, during their journey, they attacked Temujins village without realizing it. The reason for this attack was Haido's belief that the stone of Gelel, which he thought was in Temujins village, could be found there. Despite killing everyone in the village, including Temujins parents, Haido recognized Temujin's potential and took him under his wing as an apprentice. He trained Temujin to become a loyal minion who would help him locate the Vein of Gelel.
