The protagonist in the story lacks special abilities and leads a monotonous life. he frequently experiences bullying at the hands of ayakas fan club members. following an encounter with kuraishi, he discovers that ayaka has been secretly safeguarding him from the nefarious "tower witches." as a result, ayaka is now obligated to accompany the protagonist wherever he goes and shield him from being harassed by her unofficial fan club. later on, the protagonist requests that ayaka instructs him in the use of magic, although she initially resists doing so. the workshop witches and kagari protect the protagonist from the tower witches due to the presence of "white stuff" within him.
