Honoka Takamiya is an ordinary student who faces no issues except for being seated near Ayaka Kagari, the school's most popular beauty. Despite never conversing with each other, any minor interaction between them results in her fan club assaulting him. However, when a portion of the school building threatens to send Honoka to the afterlife, it is Kagari who saves him. She does so while dressed as a witch and carrying him on a broom, explaining that her mission has always been to protect him, albeit discreetly due to societal norms.

Witch Craft Works has been published in English as Witchcraft Works by Vertical since October 21, 2014. A digital edition has been published by Kodansha since December 8, 2015.
