On March 31st, the anime will be opened by NEE performing "Continue".
On Monday, the official website for the TV anime adaptation of Moto'o Nakanishi's Sword of the Demon Hunter Kijin Gentosho novel series began streaming its second promotional video. This video showcases and previews the anime's opening theme song "Continue" by Japanese rock band NEE.

On March 31 at 9:30 p.m. JST, it will be shown on Tokyo MX. On April 1 at midnight JST (which is actually April 2 at 12 midnight JST), it will be shown on BS Fuji. On April 1 at 10:30 p.m. JST (which is actually April 2 at 1:30 a.m. JST), it will be shown on MBS. After the first episode, the anime will move to its regular timeslot on Tokyo MX starting from April 7 at midnight JST (which is actually April 8 at 12 midnight JST). It will then be shown on both MBS and BS Fuji starting from April 8. The anime will air for two consecutive cours (which is half of a year).
On March 31st at 8:30 a.m., EDT, HIDIVE will start streaming the anime with a special first episode that lasts one hour. Afterward, new episodes will be available every Monday at 11:00 a.m., EDT.
The anime's release date has been pushed back from July 2024 to June of that same year because of production delays that caused a one-hour special to be added in June.
HY is playing the concluding tune for One Thousand and One Nights, which features Izumi Nakasone.
Seven Seas Entertainment has made it known that they will be launching both the novel series and its manga version in English. They have given a description of the story.
In the Edo era, young Jinta and his sister must flee their home, finding refuge in a mountain village. Years later, Jinta has grown into a skilled swordsman, sworn to protect the priestess of the village shrine. Charged with slaying a demon that threatens the shrine, Jinta confronts the malevolent creature in the forest, only to learn a shocking truth. The demon speaks of events one hundred and seventy years hence, when Jinta must confront the demon in the future. Thus begins an epic fantasy journey that spans multiple eras as Jinta hunts a demon through time and must come to terms with his own dark nature.
In June 2019, Nakanishi released the initial book of their series "Suihō no Hibi" with illustrations by Tamaki. This series concluded with its 14th and final volume in November 2023.
In September 2021, Futabasha released the initial collected edition of Yu Satomi's manga adaptation from the novels. The eighth volume was released on March 19th. This manga is serialized in Monthly Action magazine.
