In a world on the brink of extinction, humanity has downsized to live in the city-state of Flandore, where cities are enclosed by glass domes. Beyond these domes lurk vicious lycanthropes who thrive in darkness. Within the city walls, there is a clear distinction between nobility and commoners, with the blood of nobles granting them mana abilities that surpass human limits. Thirteen-year-old noble Melida Angel has yet to manifest her mana and attends an elite academy where she faces mistreatment due to her lack thereof. To help her, Kufa Vampir is assigned as her tutor by the Angel family. However, Kufas true motive is to assassinate her if he confirms that she does not possess mana. As Kufa investigates Melida's case, he discovers his mission requires him to eliminate her. But after witnessing her unwavering determination and spirit in a fight, Kufa decides instead to offer a way for her to manifest her magic. With Kufas guidance, Melida learns to harness mana and ultimately saves herself from certain death. Kufa's decision to abandon his mission puts him at odds with the Angel family and his own guild. However, both he and Melida soon realize that their secret will not be the only challenge they face as unforeseen trouble awaits just around the corner.
