Koma Warita, Ryō Kuji's spinoff manga about medicine's function in body launched in May 2023
According to a statement from Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine on Friday, Hataraku Saibō Okusuri ( Medicine ), a manga series created by Koma Warita and Ryō Kuji that is based on Akane Shimizu's Cells at Work! manga, will conclude in the July issue of the magazine, which will be released on May 26th.
The spinoff manga centers on the function of medicine inside the body.
In May 2023, Hataraku Saibō Neko ( Cells at Work! Cat ) was released alongside Choco Aozora and Meku Kaire 's Hataraku Saibō Neko ( Cells at Work! Cat ) in Monthly Shonen Sirius. Shimizu Production is collaborating on both spinoff mangas. On November 8th, Kodansha released the third volume of Hataraku Saibō Okusuri ( Cells at Work! Cat ).
In February 2023, Kodansha released a new manga series called "Hataraku Saibō Muscle Spinoff" on their morning manga website. Yū Maeda is responsible for drawing this manga series.
In March 2015, Shimizu started publishing the first version of Cells at Work! in Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine from Kodansha. This series ended in January 2021. Kodansha USA Publishing is currently releasing this manga in English for its readers.
Kodansha USA Publishing has announced that they will be publishing several spin-offs of Cells at Work! in English. These include Cells at Work! Bacteria!, Cells at Work! Neo Bacteria!, Cells at Work! White Brigade, Cells at Work! Baby, Cells NOT at Work!, Cells at Work! Code Black, Cells at Work and Friends!, and Cells at Work! Platelets!
What is the name of the most recent Cells at Work! manga series that has ended? It was called Hataraku Saibō Lady (Cells at Work! Lady) and it concluded in September 2022. This series focused on the physiology of adult women, including menstruation, pregnancy, and childbirth. Additionally, Shigemitsu Harada also wrote another Cells at Work! spinoff manga called Code Black, which ended in January 2021.
In July 2018, the initial TV anime adaptation of the source material was released. Then, on January 2021, both the second season and the TV anime version of Cells at Work! Code Black spinoff manga were introduced simultaneously.
In Japan on December 13th, the live-action movie version of the popular manga series "Cells at Work!" was released and reached the top spot in the box office. Over the course of its first three days, it sold 612,000 tickets and generated a revenue of 844,768,310 yen (approximately US$5.86 million).
