Composer Jun-oh Lee receives award
At the 8th Cannes International Series Festival on April 29th, S Line, which is a webtoon-based live-action mystery series, received the Best Music Award. Jun-oh Lee was specifically recognized for his work on the show's soundtrack in the long-form competition category.
Since 2023, this is the first Korean drama to receive recognition at the festival in the category of Best Screenplay.
The show is inspired by a Korean webcomic called Kkomabi, also known as the creator of Netflix's A Killer Paradox. It follows the appearance of red lines above individuals who have had romantic connections, regardless of location or time frame.
The series stars Soo-hyuk Lee, Da-hee Lee, and Arin of OH MY GIRL .
The Cannes International Series Festival was founded in 2018 with the purpose of highlighting the increasing impact of television and streaming series on a global scale. It takes place annually around one month before the Cannes Film Festival.
No decision has been made on which streaming service will air the TV show. Additionally, there isn't currently an English translation available online for the webcomic.
