The Quintessential Quintuplets Smartphone Puzzle Game Ends Service
Game ends service on June 30 after spawning 2 console games
On Friday, it was revealed that the official website of the smartphone game "The Quintessential Quintuplets" has announced that it will be terminating its service on June 30th. This game is known as "Gotōbun no Hanayome Itsutsugo-chan wa Puzzle o Gotōbun Dekinai" which translates to "The Quintessential Quintuplets : The Quintuplets Can't Divide the Puzzle into Five Parts".
On Friday, the game stopped selling in-game currency. However, any currency that players have stored will remain valid until the end of the service. When the service ends, the company will return any unused currency to players.
The game launched in October 2020 for iOS and Android.
The game "500% cuteness quintuplet love comedy puzzle" was created by Enish Company with its unique storyline. The five main voice actors from the anime returned to lend their voices and record fresh audio for the game.
MAGES created the console version of Gotōbun no Hanayome : Itsutsugo-chan wa Puzzle wo Gotōbun Dekinai smartphone game called Gotōbun no Hanayome : Goto Pazu Story game. This console version only includes the fully voiced story part of the smartphone game. The console version was released in June 2023 for PS4 and Switch. Additionally, MAGES also released Gotōbun no Hanayome : Goto Pazu Story 2nd, which is the second game in the series, in October 2024 for PS4 and Switch. This second game contains the story from the second season of the anime and the second year of the original smartphone game.
The fourth game in the Gotōbun franchise for consoles will be released in Japan on September 18th as a role-playing game that involves dungeons for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Switch platforms.
In March 2021, Japan released the first visual novel for The Quintessential Quintuplets franchise on PlayStation 4 and Switch platforms under the title "The Quintessential Quintuplets: Memories of a Quintessential Summer" (Gotōbun no Hanayome ~Natsu no Omoide mo Gotōbun~).
The second visual novel adaptation of the Eiga Gotōbun no Hanayome anime film sequel is now available for PS4 and Switch in June 2022. This game is based on the second visual novel of the same name, which is a continuation of the storyline from the Eiga Gotōbun no Hanayome anime film adaptation.
On May 23rd, Spike Chunsoft launched the initial two visual novel games for English-speaking audiences on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Steam.
"The Quintessential Quintuplets: Five Promises Exchanged With Five Girls" is the third game in the franchise from MAGES, released in September 2023 for PS4 and Switch platforms.
