You and I Are Polar Opposites Anime Reveals 3 Cast Members
Yuna Taniguchi, Konatsu Hirabayashi, Anji Iwata join cast
The official website for the television anime of Kōcha Agasawa 's romantic comedy manga You and I Are Polar Opposites ( Seihantaina Kimi to Boku ) revealed three new cast members for the anime on Friday. The new cast members include:
Yuna Taniguchi as Watanabe
Konatsu Hirabayashi as Sato
Anji Iwata as Yamada
The anime will star Sayumi Suzushiro as Suzuki and Shōgo Sakata as Tani.
The anime will premiere in January 2026. Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs.
At Lapin Track, Takakazu Nagatomo is in charge of directing the anime. Teruko Utsumi, who wrote the script for Sarazanmai and also served as its animation producer, is currently working on the script for this new project. Mako Miyako has been tasked with designing the characters for this series. Naho Kozono, who previously worked as a sub-character designer on Golden Kamuy and also served as its chief animation director alongside Sayumi Sakimoto, has been appointed as the sub-character designer for this show. Tofubeats has been commissioned to compose the music for this anime.
Chieko Nakamura, who has worked on Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence, serves as the art director. Tomoyuki Shiokawa, known for his work on The Promised Neverland, directs photography. Yuki Akimoto, responsible for SHOSHIMIN: How to become Ordinary, handles color design. Yuushi Koshida, who has worked on My Happy Marriage, oversees 3DCG. Masayuki Kurosawa, editor of Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez, leads editing efforts. Wataru Osakabe, responsible for Pompo: The Cinéphile, handles 2D design.
MANGA Plus published the series in English and describes the story:

Agasawa launched ( link ) the manga on Shueisha 's Shonen Jump+ platform in May 2022. The manga originally launched ( link ) In January 2021, a manga series ended with its eighth and final compiled book volume being released on March 4, 2024.
Viz Media also publishes the series in English.
Over 1.45 million copies of the manga are currently available, including digital versions. In the 16th Manga Taisho Awards of 2023, it placed third, while it ranked seventh in the 17th Manga Taisho Awards of 2024.
