Fuutarou Uesugi, a high school student with exceptional academic abilities, has earned a reputation for being a genius. His intense focus on studying has made him somewhat reclusive and he lacks friends due to his perfectionistic nature. Despite this, Fuutarou's family is struggling financially because of their debts. One day, Fuutarous routine is disrupted when Itsuki Nakano, a new transfer student, challenges him for his usual lunch seat. After a brief argument, Fuutarou emerges victorious by insulting Itsukis eating habits, which enrages her and causes her to leave. However, Fuutarou soon learns that he has been offered the position of private tutor to the academically struggling daughters of a wealthy family. To his surprise, these girls are none other than Itsuki and her four identical siblings: Miku, Yotsuba, Nino, and Ichika. As Fuutarou prepares to take on this new challenge, he realizes that tutoring these quirky yet beautiful girls will be more difficult than he initially anticipated. The last thing they want is to study seriously, which means Fuutarou must find a way to motivate them and help them improve academically while also dealing with their unique personalities.
