Webtoon Service Ends Daily Pass Feature
In the past, episodes of the Daily Pass series were accessible without any charge; however, currently, you need to pay coins to view them, or you may unlock them using advertisements.
Webtoon has stopped offering its Daily Pass feature for some of its content. Instead of being able to read episodes for free through this service, users now need to pay with coins or watch ads in order to access them. Each episode from series that were previously available through Daily Pass now costs three coins.
In 2020, the Daily Pass was introduced as a way for users to access one episode from completed series each day for 14 days. This feature was later expanded to include ongoing titles in 2022. It was popular among users as it enabled them to try out new series without having to spend any coins.
Some shows have Ad Passes which allow you to watch certain episodes, however these passes only last for three days. On the other hand, Fast Pass provides early access to new chapters without any expiration, but it requires coins to be used in order to unlock them.
The AI assistant contacted WEBTOON Entertainment about the removal of the Daily Pass feature, and they responded with the same message as in their "Notice to Users" within the app.
