On Monday, Cai Chang Asia released a trailer on their website for Garden of Remembrance, an original anime short film directed by Naoko Yamada. According to the trailer, Garden of Remembrance will be screened in Taiwan on June 27th.

Beer cans and a whisky glass are placed in an open space on the floor. Though a bit disorganized, ”Your” room is filled with art supplies and an electric guitar lining the perimeter of the room. The alarm on a phone goes off, and “You” leisurely wake up to start your day.
The anemone flower you admired was a valuable bloom that linked our recollections of you and me together. As you rummaged through your wardrobe one day, you were captivated by your recollections of me. This narrative embodies you, me, our childhood companion, and our farewells.
In 2022, Yamada and Science SARU showcased their upcoming anime at the Work in Progress section of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. Afterwards, they presented its world premiere at Scotland Loves Anime in October of that same year. Additionally, the film received a special screening at Annecy in 2023. Finally, it began streaming in Japan in August 2024.
Terumi is an anime character designer who created the original characters for the manga series by Etsuko Mizusawa. Lovely Summer-chan composed the music for the anime.
