Candyman Box is currently being directed by Shunji Maki for its upcoming season. Yū Satō, who wrote scripts for Kiratto Pri☆Chan, will be returning along with Hotaru Asafuji. Nana Mori, who was the animation director for the first season, will be taking on roles as character designer and chief animation director for the second season. Fūga Hatori, known for composing music for My Wife is the Student Council President, will be in charge of music composition. Masanori Tsuchiya, who previously worked as sound director for New Game!, will be returning for this project as well.
In April 2018, Hori released the manga for the Azur Lane franchise through its official Twitter account and Ichijinsha's website.
In October 2019, the primary TV anime adaptation of the mobile game "Azur Lane" by Xiamen Yongshi was released. Funimation provided streaming services for the series with both English subtitles and dubbed versions. Subsequent episodes 11 and 12 were broadcasted in March.
Tsuchii 's Azur Lane Queen's Orders manga also inspired an original video anime.
The game is called "Kantai Collection" and it was developed by Shanghai Manjuu and Xiamen Yongshi. It was first released in China by bilibili in May 2017, then in Japan by Shanghai Yostar in September 2017. An English version was released by Yostar in May 2019. Players in this game gather warships from various countries during the early 1900s and use fleets of six ships to battle enemies.
