Otakon Hosts Voice Actor Ryōta Takeuchi, Maho Film Animation Producer Yūki Mukai
Otakon 2025 takes place on August 8-10
On Monday, it was revealed by the team behind Otakon that they have invited voice actor Ryōta Takeuchi and Maho Film animation producer Yūki Mukai to attend their event this year.
Takeuchi's roles include Elias in The Ancient Magus' Bride , Darui in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations , Wakatoshi Ushijima in Haikyu!! , Jack in Ultraman , Kamo Serizawa in Blue Miburo , Adalbert von Fahrenheit in Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These , Charlotte Bavarois in One Piece , Kenji
Tsuragamae in My Hero Academia , Thomas in Attack on Titan , Ren in DRAMAtical Murder , and the titular character of Heroman .
As an anime production manager, Mukai worked on several popular series including In the Land of Leadale, I'll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History, and I'm Standing on 1,000,000 Lives, among others.
The upcoming Otakon 2025 event will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C., from August 8th to 10th. Some of the notable guests attending this event include voice actors Nobutoshi Canna, Ryōko Shiraishi, Ayana Taketatsu, Kanna Nakamura, and Taishi Murta; manga artists Chika Mizube, Minoji Kurata, and Sai Naekawa; manga editor Takumi Kamemaru; illustrator CHRIS; character designer and animation director Hidenori Matsubara; author and composer Taketeru Sunamori; J-pop singer MindaRyn; Shōtarō Kitamura, director of A-1 Pictures; Yūtarō Itō, production manager of A-1 Pictures; and the creative team behind Too Many Losing Heroines! light novels.
Last year's event took place in August 2024 and reached 46,000 attendants, setting a new record.
