At Anime Expo on Friday, it was announced that a second anime adaptation of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is currently being produced by Studio Trigger. Ichigo Kanno from the same studio created the poster shown below.
Kai Ikarashi, who previously worked as a storyboard artist, animation director, animator, and prop designer on the first series, is making his directorial debut with the new series. Bartosz Sztybor is back as producer and writer for the series, while Ichigo Kanno is leading as the character designer. Masahiko Otsuka is also returning as the scriptwriter for the new series.
On Friday, Studio Trigger will reveal new teaser footage during their panel session. It will be shown behind closed doors.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is an anime series created by Studio Trigger that was released on Netflix in September 2022. It is based on CD PROJEKT RED 's video game, Cyberpunk 2077, which in turn is based on Mike Pondsmith 's tabletop RPG game series.
In North America, Aniplex of America is set to launch the anime series in its entirety as a Blu-ray Disc set on October 28th. Meanwhile in Europe, anime Limited and Plaion Pictures have been tasked with releasing the show on home video. Lastly, Sugoi Co has been appointed to distribute the anime in Australia and New Zealand.
An artist named Asano created a prequel manga called "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Madness," which was written by Bartosz Sztybor. This work was published on Comic Alive+ in December and is currently being released in seven languages besides Japanese. Dark Horse is releasing it in English in print form.
