Suzuka's friends debut in episode 20
On Sunday, it was announced that two new actors would be joining the cast of the My Dress-Up Darling anime series, which is based on Shinichi Fukuda's manga of the same name. These new cast members will begin appearing in episode 20 of the series.
Maki Kawase plays Asahi Ogata, Suzuka's friend who is into making cosplay props.
Mayuko Kazama plays Miyako Honda, a veteran cosplayer and Suzuka's friend.
The anime began its first episode on July 6th at midnight according to Japan Standard Time (JST). It was broadcast simultaneously across multiple channels including Tokyo MX, BS11, Tochigi TV, and Gunma TV. Additionally, Crunchyroll is providing live streaming access to the anime as it is being aired.
In Japan, a TV series based on a manga began airing in January 2022 with 12 episodes. It was available for streaming on Funimation as it was released, along with an English dub. Additionally, Crunchyroll offered both the original Japanese version and its English translation for viewers.
The manga also inspired a live-action series adaptation, which premiered in Japan in October 2024.
