Wakana Gojou is a high school student who enjoys making hina dolls as a hobby. He hopes to become as skilled as his grandfathers were in this art form. Although many of his peers engage with popular culture, Gojou finds joy in sewing clothes for his dolls. However, he keeps this hobby secret because he believes that others would mock him if they knew about it. Marin Kitagawa is a confident and poised girl who is always surrounded by her friends. Despite their contrasting personalities, the unlikely friendship between Gojou and Kitagawa develops when she discovers his sewing skills and confesses to him about her own hobby of cosplay. Although they come from different worlds, working together on cosplay outfits helps them grow closer.
