On Wednesday, it was announced that the anime adaptation of Yokusaru Shibata 's Tojima Tanzaburo Wants to be a Masked Rider ( Tōjima Tanzaburō wa Kamen Rider ni Naritai ) manga will have its opening theme song released on October 4th. This song was performed by Teddyloid feat. Shigeru Matsuzaki and was accelerated by TOPHAMHAT-KYO ( FAKE TYPE. ). The song was composed by Teddyloid, Emme, and TOPHAMHAT-KYO ( FAKE TYPE. ), with lyrics written by Konnie Aoki. Aniplex also shared a comment video from one of the song artists, Shigeru Matsuzaki.
On October 5th at midnight JST, Tokyo MX will air the anime for its first episode.

The manga follows the titular Tanzaburo Tojima, a man who has just turned 40 and who still seriously dreams of becoming a Kamen Rider . Just as he is about to give up on this dream, he gets caught up in a "false Shocker" robbery.
In 2018, the manga was introduced in Monthly Hero's magazine with support from Ishimori Production and Toei. It has since continued on Comiplex. As of April 4th, Hero's has released its 16th collected volume.
