Game launches on September 19 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PC
On Tuesday, Bandai Namco Entertainment released an English video showcasing their upcoming game "Brownies' Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree." This game is a "2D isometric roguelite," which means it has randomly generated levels and permadeath. The video provides a glimpse into the game's storyline.
Set in distant lands, the tranquil Shinju village is threatened by the evil Magatsu's quest for domination. Towa, the priestess of Shinju Village, stands united with eight unique, trustworthy companions to defeat Magatsu and his evil minions.
In Shinju Village, players can embark on quests with two chosen Guardians. Each Guardian has distinct skills that can be improved both within dungeons and through progression in the village hub. Additionally, players can craft and upgrade their swords using various materials found throughout their journey. Each combat style and pair of Guardians is unique due to these customizable weapons. As players journey through different timelines, Shinju Village will evolve over time. By forming bonds with residents and learning about their customs and stories, players gain insight into the village's inner workings. To restore peace to the land, players must work together, conquer dungeons, and defeat Magatsu's minions with their customized Guardians.
