Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider anime premieres on October 4
At its Aniplex Online Fest event on Saturday, it was announced that there would be four new cast members for the anime adaptation of Yokusaru Shibata 's manga Tojima Tanzaburō Wants to be a Masked Rider ( Tōjima Tanzaburō wa Kamen Rider ni Naritai ). Additionally, three new key visuals were released, along with the third promotional video for the anime.
On October 5th at midnight JST, Tokyo MX will air the anime premiere titled "Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider". Crunchyroll will also stream this anime under that title.
The song "Wanna be" was performed by Teddyloid in collaboration with Shigeru Matsuzaki, who was accelerated by TOPHAMHAT-KYO (FAKE TYPE). This song was composed, arranged, and scored by Teddyloid, Emme, and TOPHAMHAT-KYO (FAKE TYPE). Konnie Aoki wrote the lyrics for this song.

The manga follows the titular Tanzaburo Tojima, a man who has just turned 40 and who still seriously dreams of becoming a Kamen Rider . Just as he is about to give up on this dream, he gets caught up in a "false Shocker" robbery.
In 2018, the manga was released in collaboration with Ishimori Production and Toei in Monthly Hero's magazine. Afterward, it continued on Comiplex's website. As of now, the 16th compiled volume has been published by Hero's on April 4th.
Shibata has worked on several manga series prior to his current projects. Among these are Air Master and 81diver. He ended 81diver in July 2014. This manga inspired a live-action television series in 2008. Additionally, his Air Master manga inspired a television anime in 2003. Geneon Entertainment and Toei Animation released some of this series on DVD in North America before Funimation picked up the license. Currently, Crunchyroll is streaming the series for viewers in North America.
